This Saturday, the death of actor Matthew Perry shocked the world
Remember those days in the late '90s when everyone was talking about that TV show called Friends, which follows the story of five friends living their adult lives in New York City, if you have seen Friends you know the names of the main characters and during the ten seasons the show had you grew closer with them. Going from Joey portrayed by Matt LeBlanc to who we had to say goodbye to Chandler portrayed by Matthew Perry.
Matthew Perry jumped into fame with this come to age- comedy show that became a global success, so famous that during the 25 anniversary, HBOMax decided to create an anniversary special recreating dialogues with the original cast and a remembrance of what the show was and what it meant to others.
Despite being the source of his success, Friends wasn’t the only project Perry took part in, he was also in the movie 17 again, where he portrayed the adult Mike O’Donnell who comes back to the young age of seventeen (Zac Efron).
He also was the protagonist of The Odd Couple alongside Thomas Lennon, another Sit-Com where he showed his funny character and dealt with what situation his character had to face with realistic courage.
Despite being in multiple shows, he is craved by the public thanks to the animous, sarcastic, kind, and funny Chandler Bing.
The Sudden news of his death late night Saturday shocked the world, making it hard to believe that the 90s icon had passed away at the age of 54 for reasons that today continue to be inconclusive but what seems like a catastrophic accident, paramedics attended the place after a call of a heart attack. Then when they arrived at the scene he was found in the hot tub possibly drowned.
Despite his sudden death, one thing is for sure, generations will remember him for his characters and for what they brought to the entertainment industry. And we have nothing else to add than a few claps and say “No one told you life was gonna be this way”
